Grants Now Available From Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI)

The HES scheme offers grants to homeowners who wish to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

Many home owners are searching for new and cleaner ways to make their homes function and operate more efficiently. The government has launched a new Home Energy Saving (HES) scheme administrated by Sustainable Energy Ireland, as an incentive to get home owners to help implement changes to reduce the use of energy and valuable fossil fuels - You can be one of them.

The HES scheme offers grants to homeowners who wish to improve the energy efficiency of their home(s) in order to achieve a reduction in their home energy use and costs as well as a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Who can avail of the HES scheme?

Future Foam is an environmentally conscious company that provides spray foam insulation solutions to homes and businesses throughout Ireland.

The scheme is available to all owners of existing homes built before 2006. Landlords and owners of multiple properties may also apply, however, a separate application form for each property must be submitted. Assistance will be provided in the form of fixed grants towards the costs of realizing upgrade measures. The types of measures currently eligible under the HES scheme are:

Roof insulation
Wall insulation
High efficiency boilers
Heating control upgrades

Householders who choose to obtain a Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment may also avail of a grant to assist them before and after the works are completed.
